In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Babylon, c.ca 311-300 BC. Head of Herakles r., wearing lion skin; Rv. Zeus Aetophoros seated l.; monogram in wreath in l. field, H below throne. Price 3704; Hgc 9, 10f. High relief. Fine style. Slight traces of smoothing on the reverse between Zeus and eagle. Possible traces of former mounting, otherwise extremely fine.

From a private European collection assembled in the 1980s.
