Hallmarked on the foot with the chamber marks in use in Rome after 1815 for a silver fineness at 10 ounces and 16 denari (889/1000) and with the silversmith's mark of Luigi Sciolet (1818-1847), son of Gaetano and Elisabetta Benedetti, born in Rome in 1797; patented as master in 1818, he paid the annual workshop fee until 1847.
